URGENT ACTION NEEDED TODAY!

PLEASE CALL AND EMAIL EDUCATION COMMISSIONER JEFF RILEY BY NOON TODAY!

Email: Jeffrey.riley@mass.gov

Phone: 781-338-3111

Introduce yourself and state the school district that you work in. Then deliver this message (demands):

1. Adjust the 180-day calendar to allow for 10 days for Phase 1 of the MTA/AFT/BTU Reopening Plan.

2. Cancel the requirement for fully in-person learning plans.

3. Issue a requirement there has to be an environmental health and safety assessment of every building.

4. Tie reopening school buildings to Covid-19 benchmarks.

Please let us know the actions you took and the response you receive. You can respond below in the comments.

These actions are in response to negotiations with Commissioner Riley and our statewide organizing campaign to win a safe way to resume learning in the fall. The campaign is informed by twice-weekly caucus meetings with local association leaders and activists.

THANK YOU!!
